Vaccination information

The NHS will contact you if your NHS record suggests you may be eligible for a seasonal COVID-19 vaccine.

Some people with a severely weakened immune system may need additional protection at other times. Your specialist or GP will assess if you or your child need a COVID-19 vaccine.

For more information on COVID-19 vaccination visit the NHS website vaccination page.

COVID vaccinations for children

The NHS wants to support parents to make an informed choice with more information available here COVID-19: A guide for parents of children aged 5 to 11 (publishing.service.gov.uk)

If you do not know your child’s NHS number you can get it:

  • by checking your child’s personal health record (the red book given to you when your child was born)
  • by checking any NHS letters, prescriptions or test results you may have received for your child
  • by going to the NHS.UK website
  • by asking your GP practice to help you

Transport for vaccination:

  • A volunteer driver lift service is available for anyone who cannot get to their vaccination appointments.
  • The patient must be aware that this is at their own risk (these are volunteers organised through the Patient Particiption Group and so not DBS or insurance-checked). Please note there is no fee for this service.
  • To request this service please email csugden@ocrpl.org with your full name, full address with post code, telephone number(s) including mobile number, and time and place of vaccination appointment.

General information on the Coronavirus vaccination can be found on the NHS website vaccination page.
